I was up over the Bay Bridge from the town and have spent every moment of it enjoying the breathtaking Bay Area. With many things to do around the city of San Francisco, how can you not fall in love?! When I tell people I’m from San Francisco, they all ask where I am. They are so enthusiastic to tell me about their “favorite city”. If you haven’t yet explored San Francisco’s hilly streets, see the waves crash under the Golden Gate Bridge. Seen Union Square light up during the holidays, and joined the World Series Championship celebratory masses. The Mark Hopkins
With its ideal location on Nob Hill and prize-winning panoramic views of the city. The Mark Hopkins is difficult to top. It is one of my favorite date spots in San Francisco.
The Scarlet Huntington
This ultra-chic and swanky hotel on Nob Hill is one of my faves in the city. Make sure you visit their award-winning spa; it’s stunning.
The Fairmont San Francisco
The Fairmont is widely acknowledged as one of San Francisco’s most desirable residences. Make sure to order a mai tai in the Tonga Room! Book a flight ticket to San Francisco.
What to do in San Francisco?
Visit Fisherman’s Wharf
A must-do. Full of overly touristy but amazing sites, such as Pier 39. It is home to SF’s famous hundreds of sea lions (who are a lot of fun to watch). Grab a bread bowl of the finest clam chowder you’ll ever eat from Boudin Bakery and walk the wharf. You’ll immediately sense the San Francisco charm.
Alcatraz
Famous for its beauty, history, and notoriety. This tour is known as the best in San Francisco. It’s an absolute must for most tourists. Al Capone and other well-known criminals were housed in the original Alcatraz jail. And the island is brimming with tales that will render your spine tingle and astonish you.
Golden Gate Bridge
This is a must-see. Many days in San Francisco are foggy, so if you have a clear day, visit the Golden Gate. You can cycle across it, walk across it, or enjoy the stunning vistas on either side of it. I recommend exploring it from Baker Beach on the west side! One of my favorite views (and a great Instagram spot!).
Palace of Fine Arts
While it is a popular destination for international travelers, this is also an amazing destination. Built in 1915, the Palace of Fine Arts features stunning architecture. It’s an excellent dating site, with an extensive lake, ducks, and wonderful relaxing areas. Also, the sight of Alfred Hitchcock’s film Vertigo!
Sausalito
Sausalito is a short ferry trip from the city (or bike there from Fisherman’s Wharf and take the ferry back!). It is a lovely, small town to explore and eat lunch at Bar Bocce, a wonderful pizzeria right on the sea! Make sure to go on a clear day because the views of the city from the opposite side of the bay are spectacular! If you find yourself there for supper, make a reservation at The Spinnaker.
Cable vehicles!
Vintage cable cars operate throughout the town and are a must-see in San Francisco! They’ve been throughout since the 1800s and provide an excellent way to get around San Francisco. I once held a birthday celebration aboard a cable car! We hired out the entire thing. So much fun.
Alamo Square
If you’ve seen the classic television series “Full House,”. You’ll remember these bright Victorian mansions on Steiner Street, across from Alamo Square! This is a popular tourist destination, so arrive early or be prepared to wait if you want a clean snap of the houses.
Lombard St.
Lombard Street, sometimes known as the “most crooked street in the world,”. It is another must-see when visiting San Francisco! This street runs east-west, with the most notable block being between Hyde and Leavenworth streets. If you plan to visit this famous street by car. You should enter from Hyde Street because it is a very tight one-way route.

However, if achievable, I recommend traveling from the bottom of Leavenworth Street to the highest point of Hyde Street. It’s somewhat of a workout, but the panorama from the top makes it worthwhile!! In addition, practically every step on the way up is Instagrammable.
